Replacing Velux window black out blinds

I’m looking for someone to service my Velux windows and fit new Velux black out blinds to them. The old ones have buckled after fending off south facing light for nearly 30 years!Would love recommendations for someone who could tackle this work.

You can directly order replacements on the Velux website based on the model ref - if you open the window using the bar to pull down, you will see the model on the top part of the frame (RH side).Hope that helps and to reiterate is a quick job.

I was amazed at the information on the Velux website with all the different blinds and covers to protect the windows from sun/cold on the outside too.  They were very helpful when we phoned them with a query we had as it was such a long time since they had been originally fitted as well.

They take moments to fit as a DIY job and Velux's instructions are really clear. The same applies to lubricating hinges and catches along with fitting new seals. This should take no more than 20 minutes per window
