Closing at 3pm? Crazy idea.

"+1 Sonia.  I go to Sam's Kitchen in Hammersmith regularly so looking forward to something similar in Chiswick.However, I don't think pavement seating will be an option in Turnham Green Terrace given how narrow the pavement is.  If Sam's on TGT does well, perhaps Sam could look at applying to convert at least one of the parking spaces outside Sam's Kitchen into a 'parklet' with some additional seating and greenery.There is a good example of this being done on Church Rd in Barnes.

Just went to Sam's Waterside (been to Riverside and the old Brasserie many times) for the first time the other night. Food was excellent, definitely worth a visit.....and looking forward to the Larder.

Next time I pass by a Sam's Kitchen I hope it will be earlier on a day when I haven't already had breakfast - now that I've worked out where they are!

It’s not really a tricky naming convention :)I think it’s a great idea. A business iterating and responding dynamically to feedback and what the area needs is a business that stays alive. I’m looking forward to the brunch option, there aren’t that many in Chiswick. There are a gazillion places to get a pasty and coffee. I’m looking forward to weekend morning walks with the dog, stopping for a tasty brunch and a Bloody Mary on a pavement table watching the world go by.  And I don’t mean to be rude but I don’t understand why people can be judgemental to the point of critiquing a business owners choice of name for their restaurant. If you have a better idea, business plan and drive to start a business you believe will do better, there are lots of plots available - go for it! And if you don’t like Sam’s concept, that’s ok, then don’t visit.

I think there is a confusion here between Sam's Riverside - the established restaurant with longer hours and larger menu - and the newly opened Sam's Kitchen in Hammersmith with the brunch menu and earlier opening and closing time close to it on Crisp Road.  As I understand it the Sam's Larder in Crisp Road is still there ie there are three establishments in very close proximity!The Sam's Larder in Turnham Green Terrace Chiswick is currently changing to a another Sam's Kitchen with earlier opening and closing times and brunch menu and will be opening very shortly.  The website with postcodes and a map will make this clearer.

That's interesting. I usually go to the cafe in the Riverside Studios when walking near there but back in the day my favourite place for coffee in Chiswick was Sam's Brasserie out side of meal times. It was so comfortable and welcoming and cheaper than the nearby Starbucks which is thankfully now gone.

I think you'll find Sam's Riverside next Hammy Bridge does the same.  They have a 3.00 p.m. time at the weekend [focussed on breakfast custom] but when my Mrs. strolls  past at 4.00 they are still serving their customers.  It's Mobbed at 1.00 on Saturdays for lunch / brunch and drinks.    I should know - as i river-walk past it to Craven Cottage from W4 twice every month.Clearly a £££ move involving one singular work-shift and not double-shifts...!

It's probably reflective of the staff recruitment situation locally at the moment and that it is easier to fill shifts during the day rather than in the evening. Also staff may switch to Hammersmith and Brentford in the evening.

Why?  He wants to concentrate on the Brunch market.https://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=trading&page=consamslarder004.htmI thought the one in Crisp Road has the same hours.  I was reading the menu the other day when we were on a walk down there.
