I suppose you could argue that the opening of the Elizabeth Line makes Khan's tenure of London Underground a success. However, Ken Livingstone and the last Labour government should get a big share of the credit. I hope Khan's initiative to reduce fares on a Friday helps get more people into town - the Underground is pretty empty during the day on Friday. But it isn't on the same scale as Ken's Fares Fair campaign, which, if you recall, got nixed by the Tories. I'd argue that Khan's introduction and expansion of ULEZ - the world's largest low pollution zone - will be judged his greatest legacy and on a par with the Clean Water acts of the 19th Century. These helped establish a "right" to clean drinking water and I would hope that ULEZ, amongst other measures, helps establish the same rights to clean, non-polluted air.
