Fake research papers

Good article in the Observer today by Robin Mackie science editor regarding rise in sham science papers being published by shadowy organisations known as " paper mills" these being used by young scientists who have to supply research papers in order to further their careers.Practice started in China but has spread further afield.In one instance a sham research paper hailed one drug as a miracle cure for covid , resulting in anti-vaxxers claiming it showed no.need for vaccination. Medical authorities have refused to back it.In the meantime conspiracy theorists pick up on these " research papers" to influence gullible and susceptible people.

So dangerous as the conspiracy theorists then claim that 'the truth is being suspressed'.Look at the damage the supposed research of Andrew Wakefield caused when he declared MMR vaccines were dangerous. How many children died or or were disabled for life by folloing this.now discredited. doctor's advice.
