Anyone else having problems with Ealing's contractors Murrill?

Murril have been doing work for Ealing council resurfacing the pavement and street. They've resurfaced the pavement outside my house today and, in the process, completely tarmacced over my water meter. Thames Water are now having to come to locate and replace the meter in the next few weeks.I was amazed at the level of incompetence by the contractors and wondered if anyone else had had similar problems?

l’m sure Philippa was pointing out the incompetence of Murrell, rather than trying to blame any motorists. How else was she meant to describe what happened?

So its all down to the motorist Philippa? I heard they remove cars that stop them working and make a nice little sum out of it.

They delivered notices that they were going to clean the drains by putting notices on cars on the street on the day that they were going to clean them. Needless to say no cars were moved so they weren't that sucessful.

Not sure if same contractors that recently resurfaced Church Path, which is a disgrace as the surface wasn't flattened smoothly (apparently called microsurfacing)and still months later loose small stones spread on the road.Also messed up a new drain install as it sits higher than the actual road surface.

Well I’m surprised. They do this work day in day out, surely there are lots of things on the dos and don’t list and this would be high up there.. we’re too guilty of just shrugging our shoulders these days. This is  inexplicable to me
