Loraine’s death has been hinted about on another thread (the lost kitten thread). No one wishes to be the bearer of sad news. You can look up her name on Google and it will tell you. I’ve known for a while but it wasn’t my place to say.I really hope her dogs were housed together as they are clearly bonded to each other. Whatever I thought of Loraine, RIP.

This is sad news. I had read she was ill. I'm pleased to hear that her dogs have been rehomed together and that the Cinnamon Trust was available to help. I've always thought that a very useful charity for anyone for whom all that dog walking gets difficult. So many of Loraine's posts were made after her early morning walks with Barney and Fi-fi and were reports and warnings on the state of the streets and green spaces around her CHR home as she found them at what for some of us were the most ungodly of hours. We didn't always agree - but we most definitely did sometimes - eg when pavements are broken and a trip hazard! RIP Loraine.

.....and very glad the dogs are together
Yes ,very very sad news ,when I found out a few months ago it was hard to take in ,I knew Loraine well, kindred spirits ,she was a force of nature. It is still hard to accept
Sad to hear the news about Loraine today. I never met her but she replied privately to me on another query about a dog. I'm pleased to hear her beloved little dogs have been rehomed together. They will miss her.

That must have been a huge comfort for her to know that her dogs would be re re-homed together and taken good care of.

Fifi and Barney were taken in by All Dogs Matter and they were rehomed together via Pro Dogs Direct. Loraine knew they were safe.

I knew her but not that well so I declined an invitation to attend her funeral some time ago.Mostly we agreed but when she got annoyed with me she would call me "Noddy" as in Toytown. Probably well deserved.I seem to recall her husband was killed in action serving in the British Army. I may be confusing her with another mind.

She did not suffer fools gladly ! CW4 is a lesser place without her presence. I hope Fifi and Barney have found a new forever home together as I think they were both rescue dogs and she cared deeply for them. Well I don't know how you can hint at a death, I was concerned as there had been no posts from Lorraine, it was a shock as never knew of her illness and I am very upset about Lorraine such a lovely caring person.R.I.P
