Great news about Plum Duff

Was really pleased to see this will be reopening. I hope it is as a bakery rather than just a cafe as there is nothing like a loaf still warm out of the oven.

When I moved into a nearby road many years ago, the shops round there were thriving, with a little supermarket on the left as you go up from the High Road at the top of the Avenue - now flats - and an off licence on the corner of The Avenue and Whellock Road as well as the existing newsagent and other shops.  It's a shame to see them close as it was nice to be able to just pop out quickly for something rather than schlep down to the High Road and back.

Given inflation it would be fair enough if prices went up a bit on reopening but hopefully they can keep it under a fiver.A lot may depend on whether it is a bakery because that brought in most of the revenue before and they might have to put prices up more if it is just a cafe.

Ready and waiting to make a pilgrimage from Boston Manor. I miss our local bakeries for the lovely warm loaves and fresh cakes.
