Ed Davey

According to a sub post master who has suffered and spent 2 years in prison his local Mp Sir Ed Davey ignored him 3 times. Ed not in the Commons for PMQs and he saysNothing to do with me "I was lied to " Lib Dems website is all about this post office scandal I think Ed Davey needs to order that removal truck back for which I think he arrived in as he's been missing since becoming leader Hold on,not me,missing again.Do we have an election coming I've a bunch it's going to get worse for Ed over the coming weeks

Well the nation are discusted with the post office scandal and Yvonne seems to have the public momentum behind her.No wonder Ed is keeping that mouth shut calling everyone else to do the right thing and stand down and has gone very quite.The mans in hiding and could well become a more of a liability for other lib dems given time is still availabe for it to go all very wrong.

"The vibes are building in Ed Davey's constituency that nearly 5 years to the day that Swinson as lib dem leader lost her seat Ed is about to possibly be the second in a row to be kicked out of office by a local Cllr and former ex-postmistress Yvonne Tracey who beat a lib dem Cllr 2 years ago to become a local Cllr and is on the verge of doing the double on no other than the Lib Dem leader."What was most interesting is that the lady won the local council seat as an Independent with a campaign against a cycle track! Pity we haven't got someone aroound here to do the same.

Lib-Dems made it clear they were pro E.U. and lost any chances they had.

According to the respected polling company YouGov only 15% of Londoners are looking to vote Conservative, compared to 57% for Labour, 11% for LD, 8% each for both Reform and Green.Only (nationally) 4% of electors 18-24 and 12% of those aged 25 to 49 support Conservatives. The Reform party is coming up hard on the heels of the Lib Dems, but is unlikely to gain seats in parliament this time.However they could help Labour by taking out discredited Tories.Much depends of course on Nigel Farage's role within the Reform party regarding it's future influence on the political landscape.

Well I'm not sure about the electedmps on the lib Dems seats orThose running to be elected butWhy would you vote on the basisOf the leader when he seemsTo have stepped into a wardrobe forThe last 4 years only to appearWhen the election is around The corner. In 2010, the Liberal Democrats appeared to be on the up, and they had a useful moderating influence during the coalition government. In 2024 they appear to be a busted flush, and their leader is under fire for his failures during his period in government, making it even less likely than it was before the PO scandal blew up that they will attract many votes. IMHO a strong national third party is good for our democracy, and the fact that we no longer have one is regrettable. The LibDems were not taken seriously in 2019 when the choice of leaders offered by the two main parties was between the devil and the deep blue sea, and it is hard to see them having much relevance this time round either.

Apparently, there is an approved standard response to enquiries about what Ed Davey did or did not know, issued by 'LibDemCentral'.One would like to think that LibDems could muster an independent thought if asked to actually think for themselves. If not, why ever would you trust them

Anyone with half an operational brain, when hearing of something like this, would not just listen to only one side, would they? I think most of us being somewhat more cynical about the 'powers that be' would make every effort to get the other person's version too. We can only hope some of our councillors take note, try listening to their constituents who may well have a completely different view to the officers they delegate so many of their responsibilities to, well, we live more in hope than expectation.
