No Gongs for Chiswick residents?

I didn't see any reports of anyone getting a gong in the New Year's Honours this year unless you count Erin Pizzey for setting up the women's refuge. Normally there are at least two or three given the high number of the great or the good this year. Did nobody local get one or have their achievements just been ignored?

Just saw the report on Lee Doyle of the Brentford Community Sports Trust getting a much deserved BEM. Most people won't know who he is but generations of children in the Chiswick area have benefited from the well organised and inclusive coaching sessions he helped set up.These were of a scale well beyond what most Premier League clubs ran well before Brentford FC had its current run of success.
