Wi Fi signal extender recommendations?

My BT dual band extender 610 has packed up.Frankly it has always been disappointing so I won't be buying that model again.Looking on the internet there are an almost endless choice of products ranging in price.Advice please on one's to go for or avoid.Also, is it possible to have more than one extender to increase the coverage even further?

I use a TP-Link Deco M9 Plus Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System, which I bought from Amazon last year and it's brilliant.  It covers up to 6500 Sq ft coverage.  I'm not a techie but a friend and I managed to install it easily without problem.  Would definitely recommend.

Definitely go the mesh route they work really well and as Chris says you can move them around the house to get the best reception throughout, good luck. Easy to setup.

BT WiFi discs Pack of 2 would do your typical house by using hallways as your locations I've one in the hallway and one in the kitchen which give me full coverage inside and outside They work well All depending where router is for placement but you connect them to the router to set up and then place where you want them

We have one in the basement, one on the ground floor in the kitchen (connected to router), one by the front door, one on the first floor and one on the top floor. We did have to move them about a bit because they are quite fussy about certain obstacles.

We have three Linksys VELOP units here and they work very well. First one has to be plugged into the broadband but the rest communicate with each other via their own mesh network. You need to work out where to put them so they can 'see' each other but once you work that out they are fab!

Adrian I am trying one out now for equipment located outside my home. Its sold by Amazon and ranges between £16 to £26. Its been working fine so far withe the unit plugged in a socket inside my house, which gives a good strong wifi signal to the equipment outside. There is one problem the directions showing you how to set it are so small you have to have a good strong magnifying glass to read them

I have had a lot of success with the BT Discs, they create a parallel wifi network (you plug one into your router and then others around the house, and you end up with a seamless, house wide network). They sell them in packs of two or three, and you can add up to five for full home coverage. They replaced my somewhat adhoc daisy chained system of wifi extenders, and have been for the year+ I have been using them now thoroughly reliable.
