Many of the super-rich - Elon Musk, Rupert Murdoch et al - pull strings to maintain their power and wealth.  There’s no mystery there.  They are doing it in plain sight.  I worry that people like Michael are being manipulated into imagining and claiming that the villains are elsewhere and thereby distracting us from the mundane reality.  Michael thinks he has superior knowledge but really he’s just a ‘useful idiot’, an unwitting tool in the hands of the actual (super-rich) elite.  Who needs a cabal when you’re a billionaire?

From now until the GE these illegal immigrants will continue to ditch their passports, their documents upon arrival, be housed in four star accommodation or their equivalent, be fed well, receive pocket money, and have access to our NHS.And when the government of the day realises we will get nowhere without withdrawing from the outdated European CHR the thousands of smirking, cosseted immigrants will be given an amnesty, why, because our work from home, painfully slow civil servants will never catch up with the backlog.It is all very distressing.

I can go with some of that Richard,but when did Labour have an EU referendum in their manifesto? I know Blair had spoken about it and said that if it happened he would campaign for a remain vote ,but I am not sure it was a manifesto promise.Please correct me if I am wrong.

Made a valiant attempt to sort out the financial mess inherited from 13 years of Labour government, finally gave the electorate the chance to vote on EU membership after the Labour government broke its manifesto pledge to do so, belatedly decided to cancel the Labour government's crippingly expensive HS2 project, kept Old Jeremiah out of Downing Street and Scotland in the UK. Not a great list of achievements but still better than the alternative.
