Ch4 News on Israel / Palestine

Just what is the point of Matt Frei? He has got to be the most irritating news reporter in the UKHe just loves the sound of his own voice and seems to think his opinions are always correct. He NEVER allows interviewees to respond properly to questions as he constantly interrupts them. If not interrupting he constantly mutters in the background  “right, yes, ok, mm, ok, mm, sure, right, mm, yes, right, ok,”. It’s not surprising that he only gets low level interviewees because high level politicians or diplomats surely are so sick and tired of his continuous interruptions that they couldn’t be bothered to appear on Ch4.

Well done Rog. You took it all in and have remembered it. My points about Covid obviously hit home. However, don’t be so dense; you and I are perfectly entitled to have strong points of view and express them on a public forum. But I’m not talking about a public forum, I’m talking about a newscaster who is supposed to be unbiased and impartial.  Frei’s bias is conveyed with frantic intensity - so much so that he shuts anyone up when he doesn’t like what they are. Some of us actually like to here other points of view! “ Impartiality has been taken to mean that coverage should be unbiased, balanced, objective, open-minded and avoid favouring one side over another”
