Car Break in - GeorgeIV car park 7.30pm

Last night some people smashed my car window and stole my kids school bag (They'll be very happy with year 9 maths, english and phyics books I'm sure!).  It was parked outside the organic shop near the George IV.  When we got back the organic shop said my alarm was going off at 7.30pm, no one bothered to look.  She checked CCTV when we asked, 3 all in Hoodies on bikes and can't identify any features.   She said they are so blatant now, they come in stealing things about 3 times a day,  they're not scared if approached.  So the car park next to the old police station isn't safe even at 7.30pm.  OH and if anyone finds a black school bag with all of my kids books and notes which he needs, please dry them out and let me know!

I recently reunited someone with their belongings (what was left of them) after their car was broken into nearby. While I sympathise totally with people who have had a break in its really important not to leave anything including children's stuff/gymgear etc.  in a car at any time I'm afraid as thieves will just give it a go to see what they can find.

About 25 years ago my car was broken in outside the Arts Educational School. My daughter was doing a ballet show and I was running late. I left my bag with an ante-diluvial laptop and a briefcase containing only papers.Chiswick's dumbest thief pinched the briefcase and ignored the laptop.When I came out, somebody from Gainsborough Road (I think) rang me to say someone had left my briefcase in his front garden and he'd found my card so called me.Still had to get the glass fixed though.
