They encourage us to drive less but don’t give good alternatives. Recycling was the one thing I thought they got right. Plenty of places to take things. The bins at Sainsbury’s were well labelled, Stirling Road had people to advise. Now everything has gone to pot. They’ve shifted their attention and money back to anti car measures. The rules are too complicated for my liking too. My daughter is a real eco warrior and picks out some plastic from my recycling and tries to explain the differences. She walks and cycles but she’s clever enough to know, as a tradeswoman, she needs her car. I’m incredibly proud of her common sense. No stupid LTNs where she lives either.
