Rejection of ULEZ scrappage scheme

I am incandescent with rage, I have been rejected by the scrappage scheme as I don't have a current MOT, with no ability to appeal.I have declared my car off road as I wasn't prepared to pay this crazy tax, my car has been insured throughout.Does anyone know if there is an appeal process that I'm not aware of please?

Probably the easiest thing to do is to get an MOT. You can drive your car to an MOT appointment even though you have a SORN.  I’m not sure that having insurance will hold any sway as there is no need to pay insurance if your have a SORN.

Out of interest  I looked at the  conditions to be accepted to the scrappage scheme and it says that you must have a valid MOT certificate to apply.

It wouldn’t sensible to give scrappage money for cars that aren’t roadworthy. Otherwise people could take any old piece of junk.

That was what I thought . Why should anyone get £2k for a car that can’t be driven in its current state ?

From what I have seen on the news recently,the scrappage scheme for many has been a complete balls up with people waiting long perioda to even get a response from tfl.What a crock.
