I don’t think it’s about pandering to dog haters, it’s about disciplining lazy, irresponsible dog owners and dog walkers. Surely anyone who doesn’t want to constantly step in dog shite, or sit in it in the parks, would welcome some imposed discipline if people have no respect for the community and parks etc.
