As one of the hard-pressed electricals team at the Repair Café could I just say that while we are happy to take a look at pretty much anything, there is a limit as to what we can do! Basically we can check for obvious problems like broken wires, blockages etc and even sometimes come up with a workaround. However we can't fix anything that needs a replacement component. Bear in mind that we only have a maximum of 30 minutes per repair and it can easily take that long just to open up some modern day appliances. Often we can only offer advice on what to do next, be it to contact the manufacturer or provide contact details for a proven repairer. Miracles take longer.
