Hosting

In June, as a new member of Chiswick  W4.com I posted thisI am the co-ordinator and a driver for a great charity called Re-engage, formally known as Contact the Elderly.This is a great UK based charity; our aim is to help eradicate loneliness in the elderly, by taking guests (our elderly members) to a tea party, usually on the last Sunday of each month, to the home of a host, who lays on tea, sandwiches and some cake.We as the Hounslow group are desperately short of persons willing to host 6/8 guests inc drivers,  a couple of time per year. Essential criteria, is a downstairs loo.If you think that this is something that you would enjoy doing, please get in touch with me.I have been a volunteer driver for this group since June 2011 and can vouch for the fact that you will have a great time hosting a t-party.Thank you.& Samia Mirza, Sara Nathan, & Janice Evans, responded. I replied to them, but, I never heard back. Can anyone please advise on how to make contact with them? Please bear in mind that I am new to this site and do not know my way around it. Thank you.

Did you try to Direct Message them?  (Although this doesn't always work.)To do this you click on the relevant persons name where is lies in purple/blue above an open post of theirs.This should open a Direct Message.You need to put something in the heading once this message page has opened.  Once you have typed your message you will find that there is a virtual button to click to Send.It is a good idea to write a message here to say that you have done this in case the DMs are not working and so they can come back to you or someone else can help.

I posted in the reply box the same as I am now doing to you.  I do not know anything about DM's on here, how they work or how to find them. Unfortunately, I am a total novice when it comes to this site. I did email the editor to ask if they (editor) could make contact with the ladies, but, alas I did not get a response.

Elizabeth, I have just Direct-mailed you and explained how I did it.  Check in your email in-box linked to this site.  It should be there.  If it is, the system worked for me and might also work for you.  If it’s not you might have to use an alternative method to get in touch.

Elizabeth, I have bumped your original thread back onto the CW4 front page. If you follow Philippa's instructions for each person who responded you should be able to make direct contact with them.

Hello Elizabeth,I am so sorry but I didn't receive anything from you.
