Does Adam realise that removing the restrictions to allow his 3 mile round trip would result in thousands of cars being diverted off the A4 and through Grove Park? The extra 4,000 or so journeys would lead to tonnes of particulate matter being spread over local roads increasing the risk of asthma, lung disease, cancers and dementia for Adam's neighbours - not to mention the increased road danger to his most vulnerable neighbours (the very young and old).I realise the good people of OneChiswick believe that their right to drive a car wherever they want makes these costs acceptable to them. Indeed, anyone who suggests this is no longer acceptable as the costs become better understood is "selfish and entitled". Does Adam believe that inflicting more rat runners, more traffic, more pollution, more sickness and more death on his neighbours is a price worth paying for a minor increase in his driving convenience?
