Don’t get caught out at Sainsburys

A sixth sense made me check at the till that I’d received £5 off a Nectar item: I hadn’t! I had to specially ask for it which seems pretty unfair to me. And not a word of apology or any indication that had I not spoken up I would have lost a hefty discount: I had to go to Customer Services to ask for that. Don’t assume that when they offer you a Nectar discount that you automatically get it: always check.

I think Nectar and similar are to keep track of people's spending and anyoffers made by retailers should be genuine.  I'm surprised they never gave a reason sometimes it has not been entered into the system by theCompany in time.  Thanks for the warning.

I thought this was a warning for the self-scanners; you now need a receipt to exit the pen after paying thanks to the new gates.
