In this context, the present Ealing Council seem to like being running dogs of any developer under the sun. Even if the one time dictator of Uganda, Idi Amin, rose up from the dead and became a developer with a plan for housing on a site, Ealing Council would probably be his running dog. They seem amoral, and the Ealing Cabinet member for Good Growth and New Housing, Shital Manro who along with his family were expelled from Uganda in 1972 by Idi Amin, would probably be his running dog, all in the name of "good growth and new homes". All so that Ealing Council can gain another council tax farm, in the name of developing "thriving communities".As historical background, in 1972, Idi Amin expelled Asians, a majority of whom were Indian-Ugandans, leading India to sever diplomatic relations with his Ugandan regime.
