Recycling Centre

Now that Stirling Road Recycling Centre has closed, any recommendations for the nearest one to us in Chiswick?  Many thanks

Townmead rd by Mortlake cemetery is the one I use.You have to book online to get a time slot. I find it easy to get in and out and quick.

There is also Abbey Road, up near the North Circular. It is very easy to get slots at short notice - unlike Townmead Road in my experience.

Nuther vote for Richmond Townmead. But I do miss the ever changing display of discarded garden gnomes, planters and the most wonderful Snow White and the 7 dwarfs with added Christmas lights that we used to get at Sterling Road

You're so right about Stirling Road. Thanks for reminding us all of the imaginative display the workers there put up. Now and again they'd be told to clear it out by some jobsworth, but the retired garden furniture would always grow back. You can't keep a good gnome down!

Yes we’re allowed to - need to book a slot and I wanted to go today but fully booked up. You add your address and Reg when booking.

You can also use Space Waye in Feltham (Hounslow) or the one in Park Royal (Brent). The system is shared by the members of West london Waste Authority (Hounslow, Ealing, Richmond, Harrow, Brent, Hillingdon) and the booking system is provided by WLWA. % of the boroughs accept stuff from other member authorities, except Hillingdon, last time I looked.
