Car window smashed and theft

A friend had his car window smashed last night by the old police station. A brown leather rucksack was taken , among other things there was a grey pouch containing documents.  If anyone comes across any documents with initials D.P please contact me as he is very keen to get these back.

Bushes in the small estate on the right as you walk down past Belmont School (from the High Road) seems to be a favoured spot for the looters to dump the stuff (that can't be flogged).

Anette, sorry to hear about your friends being robbed. Were the items in the car visible through the windows or hidden away in the boot ?

Not wishing to relay a gruesome threesome, but another car had its window smashed in while parked in Chiswick Common Road on Wednesday evening

Hi Richard, the Wednesday one was with all in the boot,  only left car for 20 minutes- nothing visible,  the last night one was stuff on back seat- he forgot it ,  car with tinted windows. We think its the same group,  2/3 men on electric bikes wearing balaclavas and quite menacing appearance,  usually wearing all black clothing and hoodies too. I have also seen them  hit back common car park behind Costa quite a few times,  this seems to be really frequent now.

Anette, if they are taking items that were hidden in the boot, that suggests they are smashing their way into cars on the off-chance of finding something worth stealing. Has this been reported to the police ?

Hi Richard,  yes both reported to police, both occurances no action from  police.  One bag has been found near the Porche garage by a very kind member of public and returned to the owner of Wednesday incident,  items are missing of course.

Those 2-3 boys on electric bikes and balaclavas are around most nights of the week. I see them last night going onto TGT from woodstock road.Infact ive seen them about 5 times in 10 days.Did you report them? No,you cant get a responce unless a crime has been commited and breaking car windows to steal is down the line of priorities to attend just incase you ask.

Anyone wearing balaclavas in those circumstances and in this weather is surely grounds for Stop and Search, no?Meaning that even if nothing incriminating is found on them (v.likely), at least the police can find out their identity and let them know they're on their watch list.

Car broken into on Wed evening in Chiswick house car park. Several cars targeted there in last few days. Vehicles also smashed into this morning going up A4 towards Hammersmith. Also in Barnes Hight Street outside MaS in the afternoon. Same MO as used to happen a lot at Kew retail park, just smash their way in on the off chance there is something to nick

The saga continues unfortunately,  I have found a bag belonging to Aghamoradi Gooran of Fauconberg court  near Chipotle . If anyone knows this person please ask them to get in touch.

These days I’m not sure what it is the police ‘prioritise’. They don’t seem to investigate burglary, theft, traffic offences, anti social behaviour, drug dealing, cycling offences, e-scooter offences, domestic violence, rape…….  What is is they actually do except turn up en mass to curb football hooliganism and monitor a Coronation every 75 years or so.

Last time I saw a copper it was a mug shot on the telly. No point looking to them to sort it out.

A couple of them trot down my road late morning/early pm on a couple of horses in North Chiswick once or twice a week. Noise of hoofs is very loud. What a lovely jaunt for them.  Chance of catching criminals - minus zero. Cost of keeping horses to ramble sedately and hoisly round our streets and training police to ride them, plus insurance - megabucks.

They go by our house at the end of Chiswick Mall/Pumping Station Rd too - last visit two afternoons ago. Utterly useless re car thefts in the dark of night! Horses must sleep.

And they will continue to rob and commit criminal acts while our overpaid so called police service does nothing about it!

I imagine the Police need horses for crowd control at demonstrations, marches, football matches and the like.These don't occur every day and in the meantime the horses need exercising.
