So off 5th jab

I don't know whether anyone else has had problems after taking the 5th jab for covid.  I went and had this new type of jab. Sonofi -  the next day - first of all I could hardly move my arm and on the same side my hip was really painful and I found walking really difficult to walk or sleep - the hip is slightly getting better 4 weeks later.  I have heard other people have had similar problems ... Just wonder what they are putting in us.. I doubt I'll ever have another one.

I watch but rarely comment these days - however just for possible interest - just before Christmas 21/22 I was persuaded by my family to have the 4th vaccination, having had the first 3 which were Pfizer. I do not not why I felt hesitant about having another but I did, which was Moderna. I developed an immediate massive rash all around my arm which was hot and painful. 5 days later I was hit with Myocarditis. The symptoms were not pleasant, with my heart rate dropping to 49 bpm at times, very erratic and sometimes thumping so violently my glasses would fall off my nose. It took over 6 months for everything to subside. One doctor said it was just one of those things, another two doctors said it was a direct reaction to the Moderna. Needless to say I will never have the vaccine again. I have never had 'flu ones either. No conspiracy theories here - just the fact that a very small number of people have had nasty reactions, rarer in older women, too.

Question is...were the heart problems caused by the vaccine, or just entirely coincidental?I can understand that from your individual point of view that it feels unlikely to have been a coincidence.On the other hand, from a population point of view, it's not surprising at all that people get heart problems after getting vaccines. Just because people get heart problems all the time, with or without vaccines.To draw any conclusions we need proper science. Your doctors just don't know. They aren't scientists, and they haven't done any kind of proper study.

From the British Heart Foundation quote: 'There have been rare cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) following the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccine in the UK, and it has been listed as a very rare side effect.'There have been quite a few studies, in UK, USA and Australia to name just a few - there has been a spike in heart problems after having the vaccine, and it usually happens 4-6 days after the jab. Usually affects young men for some reason but not unheard of in older women.The fact that it came on so suddenly after the Moderna jab makes me feel it was not a coincidence.. just my bad luck.I had no treatment other than ibuprofen. Whether coincidence or not, I won't be risking another vaccine - the feeling of impending death, which lasted from late December to April before it started to subside, whilst I am not worried about dying, was very disconcerting.

I recently had my sixth jab - as previously no effects other than a sore arm for two days, but a friend of mine said she was really rough for several days after.

They are fine, thank you! We have had to fence off the flower borders as they keep eating the flowers! They have eaten all the white and yellow roses but have left the pink ones; hollyhocks, chrysanthemums and my precious cone flowers all munched down to their roots but they do not touch the foxgloves! We try to grow as many flowers as we can for the bees.

My Sister had the first vaccination and had very bad reaction was hospitalised and fluid drained from around the heart, but wouldadd she was on an awful lot of medication and could have caused the bad reaction, then last September she got Covid although not very ill, it haddestroyed her lungs, she passed away this December which is why I wasat the hospital all over Christmas and Christmas Day seven hours a day.Covid is out there it's a killer, I understand anyone who have had a badexperience not wanting another jab, you have to weigh up th odds if thatis possible.

It was very a very difficult time my Sister who passed in December neverhad all the family visiting because they were busy making funeral arrangements for the first death, so I decided to be with her and make sureshe had the best possible care and pleased for the time I had with her, the wait for the funeral was a month they were extremely busy.

Just all think carefully on the decisions you make take into account any medicines you are taking and all the risks involved, there are risks withany vaccines which we are made aware of.

I had my 5th roughly 8 weeks ago, two days later I had a TIA late at night.  I have never suffered from any heart conditions and am awaiting my outpatients appointment where I will speak to consultant about this latest vaccine, I felt most unwell had terrible bone pains for days and now will be very reluctant to have another vaccine.

No vaccine is going to keep everyone feeling well after,whatever the side effects Clearly this one along will all the rest have side effects for some. My first jab,Pfizer gave me terrible no side effects where my second was Moderna which gave be some muscle issues and feeling cold like it was -30 and breaking out suddenly into a bad sweat 20 mins later. My third jab was Moderna again and this time i was fine Like the flu jab,some people have bad side effects for a short time. Get the jab and if you feel a little unwell then dont worry,it dont last

Julian I do realise people may have side effects for a short time . 4 weeks later after my 5th jab I am only just beginning to feel a bit better !Pain on the left side of my body was awful ... Hip, arm and left foot.  I certainly will be more than careful if I am offered another one.  Hopefully other elderly people will also wonder if it's worth it.

a lot of employees from a local school, all went together and they were jabbed with Sonofi (made in France). Every one of them became very ill after a couple of days. I made enquiries at all the local chemists & that is the only jab available.  I will not have it as I live alone and cannot afford to get ill.

Just downloaded my Covid Vaccination history from The NHS website, as I had lost count of how many vaccinations I've had.To my surprise I've had 6 Covid vaccinations3 Pfizer in 2021. 2 Moderna in 2022 and 1 Sanofi in 2023I'm glad the NHS keep a record, as relying on my memory I wouldn't have a clue.

Sorry to hear about your TIA julia.Isn't a TIA a mini stroke.. which needs urgent hospitalisation.I've had at least two. The vertigo wa awful.I've  been recently invited for my 5th / 6th jab and am pondering

Had my 5th on the 9th June . Pfizer/BioNTech . Hardly anything to note.
