If you used the dry cleaner on Devonshire Road before it became Top Hat and was run by Dennis and Pat, or used Lapels on Strand on the Green which is where Dennis and Pat moved to, you might like to know that Dennis has very recently set himself up as a handyman. He's done some work for a friend of mine who was extremely pleased with the quality of his work - he installed grab rails and changed the locks on a door - which was how I found out about Dennis's new role. His business card says he does: interior painting, light carpentry, basic plumbing, domestic demolition, mowing, fence repairs, tiling, decking, shelving, laminate flooring, patio repairs and power washing, furniture assembly, curtains and soft furnishings dry cleaning, end of tenancy maintenance.
