Can you host a t-party for a great charity. please?

Admin, I hope this post is permissible, if not please delete.I am the co-ordinator and a driver for a great charity called Re-engage, formally known as Contact the Elderly.This is a great UK based charity; our aim is to help eradicate loneliness in the elderly, by taking guests (our elderly members) to a tea party, usually on the last Sunday of each month, to the home of a host, who lays on tea, sandwiches and some cake.We as the Hounslow group are desperately short of persons willing to host 6/8 guests inc drivers,  a couple of time per year. Essential criteria, is a downstairs loo.If you think that this is something that you would enjoy doing, please get in touch with me. I have been a volunteer driver for this group since June 2011 and can vouch for the fact that you will have a great time hosting a t-party.Thank you.

I’ve hosted the Chiswick Contact the Elderly tea parties twice a year for about a decade. It’s very much worth doing as the guests really appreciate it and it’s good to catch up with the drivers too. Some public-spirited souls host and then drive other months but that’s too much for me. The guests love having a “proper” tea and all the hosts provide different ingredients. Most of them must be better bakers than me: I can do scones but outsource cakes to my son in law.But what they mostly appreciate is the chat at tea and the ongoing relationships with each other and the drivers. I think that makes it worthwhile. Otherwise some are really very lonely indeed.

I am also a co-ordinator and driver for the same charity and have done it for a decade . It is so worthwhile and means the world to the lonely elderly people and is very enjoyable.We are also looking for drivers and hosts for this worthwhile cause . Elizabeth can we have a chat . Dominique,  Currently, we have 3 hosts, 2 more going through the application process and another from another group offering to also host, however,she is not answering my messages.
