Well he did appear on the local news last night, from Trafalgar Square wearing an England shirt and a St George's lapel badge so he was definitely  recognising the day.

What makes you think he is a socialist?Apart from holding various high posts within the Labour party Khan once held the chairmanship of the Fabian Socialist Society.I would mention also that for a former Shadow Home Secretary to diminish the persecution of 6 million Jews is not a good look for a Labour party trying to shed its antisemitism.

Why is it ingratiating for the Mayor of London (born in Tooting) to wish fellow Londoners a happy St George’s Day? I can see how it might be seen so for a Mayor of London born in, let’s say New York. Please explain.

This ULEZ obsessed, under-achieving mayor thought it prudent this week to appoint Marxist journalist Kemi Olivia Alemoru to join a small group of people to cultivate Black Culture in London.Within two days in office she has termed the Conservative Government "murderers", and expressed surprise why Boris Johnson hasn't been "jumped" yet.This charming lady has even had a go at Sir Keir, calling him a "scab", so expect Sajid Khan to exercise his right to sack this new entrant to his Black Culture club very soon.
