We have global problems for which global solutions are necessary. We all need to look at a bigger picture and to rethink and keep on rethinking and accept that we may all need to make some changes to our routines.

Clean air zones, cycle lanes, LTNs, lower speed limits, priority for public transport - all commonplace across much of Europe. It's the civilised way to live in towns and cities.

It’s certainly worth checking as we found that our previous route through Rouen is now a low emission zone, as are several other French cities. With a suitably compliant car you can apply for the relevant windscreen permit sticker, but it takes some time to come through.
