Taxi to Stansted- middle of the night?

Any recommendations? I need to get there for 5am, on a weekday. Too early for Stansted Express and even a National Express bus. Thank you.

You might find it easier to stay overnight in an airport hotel. It'll cost the same or less than a taxi without disrupting your sleep with a start at stupid o'clock. Works for Gatwick. Bon voyage.

Travel at your leisure. Rooms at the Stansted Hilton around  90 pounds, little more than a cab at unsocial hours, and the hotel is a five minute walk or ten  minutes stroll from the terminals. Have a lovely trip.

Thanks everyone- will ponder- cab or hotel, as you suggest.I was all set for a 94 to Marble Arch for a National Express Coach but that's been cancelled.Cheers!

It'll cost the same or less than a taxi"True, but you still have to get to the hotel the night before i.e. need to add on the cost of the Stansted Express or Coach etc.That said, I'd still go for a decent night's sleep beforehand if affordable - avoids the stress of travelling in the middle of the night and worrying about delays etc.

Several airport hotel include parking your car for the duration of your trip, as well as shuttle buses to the terminal. We did the overnight option a bit back when we travelled from Gatwick at daft o'clock .
