The annoying thing about this development is the way each successive project seemed able to build on the back of a previous one. We objected to the extra height that was allowed on the final block in the Business Park for fear it would set a precedent. And that's exactly what happened when the Pocket Homes development between the level crossings quoted exactly that building as their justification for building fourteen stories high rather than matching the nine stories of the nearby Acton Gardens development. Since then we've had further speculative applications for tall blocks in the South Acton Industrial Estate, quoting the Pocket Homes building as a precedent. And now we get TfL's Bollo Lane development, which tops the insult, by suggesting that 'our end' of Bollo Lane is now an accepted location for high rise blocks, which why they're going to build their 24 storey block down here. At least we'll get a decent pavement up Bollo Lane but all the mature tress that lined the long embankment will be gone and the setting sun will no longer shine across our part of Acton.
