sofa to give away

HiDoes anyone know of any organisations who would take an old sofa. Its sound, has fire certificate but also fabric has been plucked by cats. With a cover (or recovering) it would be absolutely fine.Charities like Sue Ryder, Cancer Research and BHF wont take du to the fabric condition. Freecycle has come back with nothing.Trying to avoid sending to the skip as its got alot of life left in it yet...Does anybody have any suggestions?thanks

I've often found that when Freecycle doesn't work,  offering it free on Gumtree will.  It might be worth a try?

For small pieces of furniture that may need a bit of TLC and can be upcycled giving people valuable experience Petit Miracles in Shepherds Bush have been very good.  They have been known to take items which BHF have declined.  But I can't see any sofas there.  I suspect that they may be a bit problematical which is a shame since there must be a lot in the situation yours is in. You'd think there would be somewhere where they are teaching upholstery or someone wanting to learn...https://www.petitmiracles.org.uk/There used to be a lady locally called Alex Watson of I Sew That but I haven't seen anything about her recently.
