Dognapping
Our daughter was walking our two dogs, our older 10 year old girl and our new puppy (12 weeks old) in Homefields Rec just before 6.30pm. She had a lot of admirers ranging from young children and teenagers to fellow dog walkers. She was approached by a white male in a black puffer jacket, hood up. He wasn't walking a dog. He asked how old our puppy is, and our daughter answered him. The puppy was on her lead but he bent down sharply, trying to detach the lead and take her. Our daughter yanked the lead away and sprinted into the middle of the rec where other walkers approached her and asked if she was okay. THANK YOU to the kind people who witnessed the incident and offered support. The man disappeared behind the tree line and presumably jumped the fence. PLEASE be careful and trust your instincts!!
