Who would you most like to meet ... before you kick the bucket?

The responses could be interesting.I would like to meet Lord Frank Field the Labour Party politician, and discuss mutual connections.He once went to School at Hogarth with an old friend of mine, lived in Chiswick at various places ...including a flat above Fosters Bookshop... he worked with an old boss of mine (Hon. David Layton) and I knew his old cleaning lady from Cranbrook Road!And you?

I suppose if kicking the bucket was imminent, the answer might be Vladimir Putin, in the hope I could take him with me....although I hope we might head in different directions on reaching the Pearly Gates.

I think Jesus Christ would be man for me,not that I am particularly religious but his ideas and thoughts have been so influential for so long it would be fascinating to hear his story.

I would like to meet a few of my more colourful ancestors.ThomasInspector General of Customs, Boston, Masachuesetts 1773 who was beaten and dragged through the streets twice by an angry mob of Bostonians.William Who fought at the Battle of Bannockburn (the Scots won) in June 1314 where William fought alongside the Bruce.James:A Slave Ship Captain who was shipwrecked off the Barbary Coast in 1789, captured, enslave, eventually freed, returned to England, died 1791 whilst captain of a slaver sailing towards Tobago.They would surely have a story to tell.

Steve Coogan is clever and articulate and has been the driving force behind a number of remarkable films. I am not sure however that I would enjoy meeting and conversing with him - when he is being charming, he is charming - but when he is not he is not. I remain confused about the truth behind his film "The Lost King". I have not been persuaded by his explanations.I am convinced that there was an historical Jesus - how else can we explain the accounts in the four Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles? No doubt stripped of all the myths and accretions of 20 centuries the real first century Jesus would seem very strange to us. There are two generally accepted contemporary references to him but given the destruction wreaked on first and second century Palestine by the Romans would we expect to find much more.I would love to meet Philomena Cunk or her presence on earth Diane Morgan. I know that she is just reading a brilliant script but she is a true iconoclastFailing that I would like to meet "Free born" John Lilburne the maverick seventeenth century political thinker, radical activist and all round pain in the butt. Would he, I wonder, be an anti-vaxer? But on second thoughts Steve Coogan would be much more fun.
