MISSING/STOLEN BLACK & WHITE CAT

Our little black and white cat was stolen from Dukes Meadows area. My number was on her collar as she is still little and just getting use to going out and thought if she ever got stuck in a shed or something or looked lost someone would be able to contact me. However the person who had her asked for money for her back. So police got involved. This address was on Chesterfield Road but apparently she got out and was last seen on Elmwood Road. Could you please keep an eye out for her. She is still young and hasn’t been going out for long so maybe hiding in a garden or shed. She has a white chest and is black on her back , she has black patches on her eyes and a white nose, she is 11 months old so still quite small. Call on 07985330993 if found or seen. Many thanks.

Sometimes the Editor will post a pic and caption on the front page if you contact them directly and ask them.  Not everyone reads the forum.  Also post on Next Door and Pets Reunited if you haven't already, contact all the cat charities including Battersea and Hounslow Animal Rescue and local vets (not all automatically scan for microchips).  Pin posters with a photo and contact details all around and knock on doors in the streets you mention.  Www.catchat.org lost and found section is a great resource to work through the advice on there and it has helped many people find their missing cats.    Good luck.

Oh, and maybe think about catproofing your garden for the future.  Best thing I ever did after a beloved siamese went missing for over a week once and four days another time.  Posters got him back once and knocking on doors the second time.  Happy to chat through any advice I can give if you DM me.

We have her back! Please be aware of people stealing cats for money the police said it’s happening a lot with cats and dogs.

That's great news, but is it possible she wasn't stolen, but someone phoned your telephone number posted above to try to "blackmail" you into giving them money? Did she come home on her own?A bit of an unlikely scenario perhaps, but as an owner of 4 beautiful Burmese cats, I am always conscious of their potential value to a criminal.

Thank you! No she didn’t come home on her own. Luckily the lady who lived next door to the girl that was keeping her spotted her from the garden and saw my post. She was very far away from my house and the police informed me she linked to crimes in the area  and the message exchanged between us definitely seemed like this was a planned crime! She saw a chance to make some money! Aww 4 beautiful cats! Yes the police said pet stealing is really on the increase.
