Parking enforcement officers across Hounslow have secured a £4k pay rise, Unite the Union has revealed.Pay will rise from £24,420.50 to £28,730 by November 2023.The deal was struck after Unite escalated strike action indefinitely.The workers took two weeks of strike action in January and a further month of strike action from Monday 6th February until 5th March, followed by indefinite strike action.They have now voted to accept the 18 month pay deal worth almost 18%. https://chiswickherald.co.uk/k-pay-rise-for-parking-officers-in-hounslow-p17549-95.htm

Good for them, and well done for having secured a pay increase. £29k in London is still too low.I hope they'll return soon, the amount of cars parked on the double yellows is really high, including just behind bends.

Hopefully this won’t mean an 18% increase in tickets issued.. Who ultimately pays the price?
