Don't you think it is better for Councils to be upfront and say how far they have got with their move towards cleaner vehicles and to admit they have not completed their change yet?

Then surely the sensible thing to do is to ask for a delay in implementing what is clearly a rushed through policy?Or is it one rule for Labour run councils and another for everyone else, particularly small businesses, who ‘needs time’ to get a compliant vehicle?

Because, my dear, it’s not a heads up, it’s an opt out.Labour councils support ULEZ expansion, though Hounslow is in fact deeply divided over the issue.Do you not understand the message it sends to residents in the borough who will have to lose their vehicles or pay the charge? No, you probably don’t.

specially when they have thrown 20k down the drain over the rainbow crossings because based on other councils costs for them it should have been around 12-15k tops not 35k or £750 a line.Someone at LBH picked up the phone and said,how much? 35k! Smashing,when can you start
