Can anyone recommend a solicitor for a house purchase?

Having been underwhelmed by solicitors as conveyancers -slow, unavailable, expensive and actually unnecessary, you might want to consider using a licensed surveyor or even doing it yourself. The Land  Registry website offers advice on both options.

Do it yourself!!! It's easy.  I did mine on both of my properties. It's just filling out forms. Got a book from the library and followed step by step instructions.  Good luck 👍

Yep, you're only spending a million quid or so on a house round here, what could possibly go wrong with DIY conveyancing! You can then regret it for the rest of your life.
