Car theft in Chiswick, from the police
There has been several theft of vehicles from Chiswick recently. Vehicles are often stolen to order by organised criminals with international connections. Such thefts are on the increase, according to Essex Police's Stolen Vehicle Intelligence Unit.“To protect cars, PC Gerrish, of the Stolen Vehicle Intelligence Unit, urged owners to ensure they always double lock their cars and look at other security options, such as Faraday key pouches and steering wheel locks."Press your lock button twice," he said. "Many people still don't realise that it throws dead bolts in their car and gives another layer of security." Cars are going to be used as a form of payment for drugs or money laundering," he said. "Vehicle theft is now part of a larger programme for bigger groups - funding terrorist groups, in drug trafficking and people trafficking."Vehicle crime is the vehicle for other crime," he said.”Yesterday in the Chiswick , 4 vehicles were broken into, each of these vehicle had owners registered to outside of area.
