The Council sent out a Notification of Works that said during works at the end of the Duke Road, "Drivers on Duke Road can assess CHR via Bourne Place (which will be two way)". That is not what is happening. Why?

The inimitable Richard Jennings will correct me if I’m wrong but a couple of Duke Rd residents (including me) have already contacted the Traffic dept about this. Their reply on Wednesday suggests the two-way running in Bourne Place was meant to have happened but that there appears to have been an “internal miscommunication”. The contractor was contacted and asked to remedy the situation as soon as possible. LBH thought it would be sorted out by Thursday but I’m not aware that it has been yet.So my email to them of today may help.

IBourne Place is now running two ways as of this morning (Friday).
Two running on Bourne Place should be interesting considering that with the usual parked cars it only just has enough width to count as a single lane road.

"with the usual parked cars it only just has enough width to count as a single lane road."The parking bays have been suspended. However, the junction of Bourne Place with Duke Road is too narrow tor two cars to enter or exit together.

Having just walked past Bourne Place this Saturday morning, there are cars parked there, maybe illegally, but still parked
