Fireworks

I wonder who are the very sellfish and thoughtless residents who thought it reasonable to set off fireworks around midnight. They would have terrified any wildlife, and notably our domestic dog, who is a gun dog, fled upstairs and hid under a bed. There are other ways of marking changes. It is clear that some families are too retarded to think further.

You forgot to mention that fireworks do nothing for air quality. Think of people with asthma. Fireworks should be banned along with the gas filled balloons people release and do nothing for the environment.

I think michael was thinking of the dangers of fireworks and the issues they cause with animals which we get.I think the idea he was not expecting fireworks most likely was a reaction in the heat of the moment. If not then i cant help except note likely dates and remember in advance

It's bl**dy disgusting and I'm sick of it.  People have no respect for their neighbours and their pets. If I can find out where they live then I'll go there and tear into them!! I mean it!!

Fireworks are part of the celebrations on certain days, which pet owners know about and have notice to look after their loved furry friends.  We are fortunate our dog takes no notice but I understand that’s not the same for all our furry friends.  Stay in with them to reassure them they are safe, lots of cuddles and love they will cope. Wildlife will also adjust. To be fair we heard a few at midnight but nothing unreasonable. Happy New Year everyone 🥳🥳🥂

The fireworks are much noisier than those in the past, some are like bombs going off.

Unfortunately a lot of domestic animals, farm animals and wildlife do not adjust.  They bolt and are never seen again, bolt and get killed on roads, fences etc or die of heart attacks.  Many, many stories every single year about deaths and severe injuries to animals just because of our stupidity. In North Chiswick they were still going off at 3 am. And continuing tonight. Stupid bastards.
