Lovely picture of Chiswick in times past

He was born in Acton where there is a green plaque and lived in Upper Mall where there is a blue plaque.I also remember seeing a lot of info about him in a pub on King Street where there were also some pictures.

That’s right Philippa.  Ravilious’s birth place is on Churchfield Road, a property  now occupied by Mystery of Beauty (beautician) and his dad had a store on Acton High Street - now occupied by a MacDonald’s - and another one, a hosiery at the top of Church Road now empty but recently occupied by a Marketing Suite for L&Q/ Countryside.There was a wonderful exhibition of Ravilious’s work at the Dulwich Picture Gallery about five years ago.
