Itv x

Anyone else trying to get this ‘new’ service - it’s supposed to be free ! One has to get it by putting all details on and they don’t accept emails or passwords- I’ve given up - too many details- rubbish !

It is free so long as you don't mind the adverts, but you do need to set up an account. I had no trouble doing so on the ITVX App on my TiVo and have watched the Kim Philby drama and a couple of other worthwhile things.I believe they will all be on ITV in due course.

Helen, what medium are you using to try to set up an account? Maybe do one on the website and then enter the details to get access?

It can be really frustrating logging into accounts just via a TV remote control, something that takes a few seconds to do on a computer keyboard can take a couple of minutes

That's the good thing about the TiVo which just 'paired up' with my mobile and sent me a PIN to get in.

Can't get it on my TV, I assume it's too old. I can get it on my mobile, but I've no wish to watch TV programmes on my phone. It is a bit annoying that a channel that's so heavily advertised, and which appears to have some interesting programmes, is so difficult to access.

As I say, I gather that the programmes will eventually be broadcast on ITV.

Just register onlineyou only need name,dob and postcode then you log in with email and password created.My log in is the same for x as it was for itv

Having had to buy a new 'smart' T.V. a few months ago - we found out quite quickly that the TV was far smarter than its owners! So it was with trepidation I told 'im indoors about this thread - surprise, surprise we now have got into ITV X without too much trauma. However, will be watching the last series of 'Happy Valley' on the Beeb tonight having re-watched previous two to refresh our memories. Also if you haven't yet caught it on 'i player' I recommend 'SAS Rogue Heroes'.

I did not like the ITV hub app. Thought it was pants. So anything I missed on ITV linear channel I didn't try and chase it on the player. I've just registered again on this new X and it looks OK, I've got it on my main PVR box(BT talktalk)  and the app in the Now TV smart box on my other TV. It looks like the developers have taken the best of iPlayer and Now TV presentation styles. Here's hoping I can use it. For anyone having difficulties use a temp email site like mailinator.com if its not accepting your regular mail address

We couldn't get it either, and TalkTalk are sending us a new box, as apparently the older ones aren't compatible

Do i have this right?Your paying talktalk to be able to record as its basically freeview with apps which smart tv's or other gadgets have unless you subscribe to extra chs at extra cost
