John Thaw fan

An elderly friend lost her Kavanagh QC and Morse DVD's as her carer accidentally gave them away to charity (along with lots of other things)  I've been looking for them in the charity shops but without success.  Does anyone have any of these DVD's that I could copy for her please?

You will find both of these programmes are regularly shown on several cable channels so probably be able to record and keep them if all else fails.

Possibly worth trying Amazon or e-bay for replacement DVDs? Have looked and they are both available for sale relatively cheaply on e-bay.

You don't need cable. They are shown on ITV3 which is on Freeview.

That sounds like great news Phil. However I won't tell her about your very kind offer just yet because I don't want her to be disappointed if it turns out that your Step-mother no longer had any of these DVD's or worse still a 'helpful' person has thrown them out..

very many thanks for all suggestions but she really just wants to watch them in her own time on her DVD player (as she use to before they were thrown out accidentally by her carer), hence request if anyone had any DVD's that I could copy for her.

Still looking for Kavanagh QC & Morse tapes please.  Even if I could copy tapes for her it would be really helpful.  PHIL, Grange Primary is a great little school and I'm sure the staff will do their upmost to ensure that your daughter settles in well (In fact you'd be hard pushed to find a primary school in that area that isn't really lovely).

I would have a word with the employers of your elderly friend's carer, about why and how she managed to dispose of property 'accidentally', that did not belong to her. She had no right or reason to do so, without checking and asking permission from the appropriate individuals beforehand. It  also begs the question as to what else she might have 'accidentally' taken and 'disposed' of, which was not hers to do so. I would also have a look at the ITVX on demand episodes that John Hall suggested. Or you could take up Phil Spivey's generous offer.

Hi MariI'm 90% sure that I have a whole bunch of Morse DVDs (ones which I recorded myself) - not Kavanagh QC sadly.  Unfortunately, I don't have them at home but in our storage unit.  I'll be going up there sometime before 16th March, so I'll check then.

Just checked on both Amazon and Ebay.  You can get all the Kavanaghs for £10.00 on ebay  and £25 new on Amazon. Morse Box sets available via Ebay, Amazon and Oxfam mostly between £20 and £30.

Thank you to everyone who has replied.  As said before, just looking for the Cheapest option as Fan is quite elderly. Hi Brian, do believe it was a genuine mistake, just a result of miscommunication.  Never heard back from Phil Spivey but noticed on another site that he was relocating and looking for a primary school for his daughter, so I think he has an awful lot on his plate at the moment. Yes please Andrzej, if you think you might find some when you go to your 'lock-up' next month then that would be really helpful.
