Dining table and 6 chairs for charity

Anyone know a charitable organisation or someone in need that can collect very quickly? I need to get rid of it urgently so its that or the skip which is a huge waste. People on freecycle often mess about and don't turn up. I've had the same on Trashnothing

The British Heart Foundation will collect. There are branches in  both West Ealing and Hounslow.

They are fussy, that took my table and left the chairs, nothing wrong with them I decided to keep them.

Unfortunately quite a lot of charity shops have closed during/since the pandemic.

Maybe they have too many chairs at the moment. You could try the 'other' BHF shop if you haven't already.

Good call.  I was trying for Trinity Hospice and only came up with clothes etc charity shops.You've found the homelessness charity and they have shops in Hayes and Uxbridge (hopefully still)!

On checking I couldn't find a fire regulation label on the chairs (upholstered seats) so didn't bother with the charities as they wont take them unless there is. Someone on trash nothing took them the same day so at least they haven't gone in the skip.

You can always try FreeCycle. A few years ago I got rid of a dressing table this way. A young woman said she was setting up her first home having left care in (I think) Stratford. She came over one evening with her chum, told me they were going to take it home on the tube (!) and sent me an email the next morning saying how happy she was with it and how grateful she was.It was one of the most heart warming experiences I'd had.
