Imperials research - comments about how they misrepresent

The study is SERIOUSLY flawed & needs to be withdrawn.Sites categorised as ‘boundary roads’ were actually inside other LTNs.And ‘control sites’ were actually the boundary roads of other LTNs.This will dramatically skew the numbers to the point where a fall should be a rise.

No Simon, it wasn't about providin gevidence, or proving that the figures are skewed, everyone knows the people who put these things together are biased. I just thought it was interesting to note how they go about fixing the figures and wanted to share it.

Phil, it was a study about air quality. I don't quote people and give their details without their permission. I'm happy to say I didn't write, it but I found it interesting. I thought this was something that people like me, who don't understand the complicated stats that some post, might also find interesting. It explains simply how stats can be  altered to give a different outcome. So easy to just mis quote, move the figures around a little bit etc. Bottom line, I just thought it was interesting.

Well you really can't duspute such a forensically argoed case as that made by the OP.Maybe the Evil Cycle Lobby should just "bump" a load of other threads, even on the most spurious of grounds, so that this thread gets relegated from the front page?No, wait, didn't someone try that before, leading to an an epic, and embarrassing, fail?Anyone else remember who it was?

Are you able to obtain permission to cite from this report or a critique of it?  As it stands, it's difficult to interpret comments made so far.
