Nest thermostat not connecting to Heatlink so no heating or hot water

Hi, looking for recommendation for someone who can fix Nest heatlink, the thermostat is trying to connect to heat link unsuccessfully, I think it’s the heatlink which is the problem as it’s completely dead, no lights, I’ve tried for hours last night trying to reset both, unsuccessfully. I can’t get into settings on thermostat. I’d prefer it be replaced by normal thermostat really. So I have no heating or hot water. Today would be good but I know that’s a stretch. Many thanks.

You mean they have designed something which doesn't have a manual override ? How strange. Even my 16 year old Worcester Bosch combi has an override button on the front panel for use if it is having problems with the radio thermostat signal.

Have u tried pressing the override button on the receiver? If it’s dead however ur pretty much screwed as something needs to tell the boiler to run and that’s it.You could try putting the zone valves into manual position but without something telling the boiler to run it won’t fire up

Yes Nest is notoriously problematic, wouldn’t have chosen a complicated thermostat myself, I like you try to fix things myself.

All sorted everyone, plumber coming Tuesday to replace with standard basic wireless thermostat. Should have thought of that before. I’ve only ever used it like a normal thermostat.

We have a NEST thermostat on our underfloor heating and it works a treat. On the other hand we have normal valve thermostats on all the radiators throughout the house and our boiler is operated by a traditional timer so perhaps NEST doesn't work so well in that scenario?
