Particularly depressing to see Suella Braverman reappointed. Completely unnecessary and undesirable. Sunak surely did not need to do that. Some new faces would have been welcome.

Only glad that no airline seems willing to take asylum seekers to Ruanda.  Hope Suella makes a mistake and has to resign again.

Message:According to Wiki she is named after Suellen Ewing, wife of JR in Dallas. My favourite line was “JR married me because I was Miss Texas”.I thought things couldn’t get any worse after Priti. I don’t think she will last. Feel a bit sorry for Matt Hancock who probably thought he might come back.

Matt H was a very strong supporter of Rishi but it didn’t  pay off.Given the sexual indiscretions of so many other  members of the new  Cabinet, his main crime was getting caught in a clinch  by an illegal video camera.  While I personally feel that his lockdown measures went too far and too long , I think he tried to do a good and difficult job.  I know people in his office who  liked and respected him.

So presumably some time on Sunday Sunak and Braverman spoke and he said she could have her old job back if she threw him her vote. I suppose he had to offer her something as otherwise had the ballot gone to the Tory members….well, we know how that ends up. He did what he had to do.

Gavin Williamson, the one-time Defence Minister who famously told Putin to go away, and made a hash in charge of Education, and was knighted for God's sake, is now  Minister Without Portfolio. He must know a lot of stuff that we poor saps mustn't be allowed to know.Time to make Baldric a SPAD with some of his cunning plans.

I thought perhaps they'd made him Larry's guardian, then thought - no - he couldn't manage that, and there'd be an outcry from cat lovers at the horror of the proposal. Really didn't take Sunak long to prove that we're really no better off with him than we were with his predecessors, what an idiot. Desperation must have set in early.
