Cook chiswick

I have always thought Cook was good.  Sadly even though the taste of their meat dishes are still good, sadly the amount of meat and chicken in the dishes have been slashed.  I asked why and was told they are trying to keep prices down.  I understand that but when you buy a meal for 2 or 4 you need to be able to feed 2 or 4 people ! I do hope they take this on board.  The lamb casserole for 1 today had 3 small pieces of lamb.

Its simple You have to raise your prices. Cutting main ingrediants will loose you customers long term.

Some foods have gone up in price by a half this year.  Vegetables are better for us and most of us don't eat anything like as much of those as we should.  In any case (and I don't know about Cook) I once added a whole packet of peas to an M&S pasta sauce because it was far too salty.  That certainly hasn't been the only time that I've attempted to cheat with decided to try out a new dish and found it oversalted.  Cheese has salt in it and so does bacon and ham and yet you still find extra salt added to dishes with these ingredients - and you can't take salt out.  Christmas stuffing where I attempted to cheat by just buying it was a disaster despite masses of extra sweetcorn and apple.  I wish I still had my Mum's recipes.  I'd prefer to add salt if I really wanted it.There are other sorts of protein as well as meat.
