Has South Parade closure been cancelled?

Does anybody know if the closure of South Parade that was announced for next week is still going ahead? I've looked on the roadworks.org site and only the work relating to the pavements and kerbs is mentioned which doesn't require any closure. It would be sensible to postpone it because the A4 works has overrun but  Ealing Council could tell people about what is happening. A good way to reduce congestion at little cost is to keep people informed about possible disruption.

It’s certainly open today - albeit there is still a queue on Acton Lane.It’s pretty typical of our ‘illustrious’ (!) council to not bother telling anybody about a change in their plans…

Monday is the day it was originally due to be closed. I guess local people will find out when they open their curtains.

Hi Mark,Yes, the road closures have been cancelled partly due to the amount of traffic. They are now due to take place in December.

When other roads start to close and it will be cancelled again.Come a cold snap and TGT will close due to expanding pipes as i think issues still are of going concern.I believe so anyway ?

Thanks Andrew for helping to make sure people were aware of this change. It's really a poor show from the council that so little effort is being made to keep people up-to-date. Julian is right, postponement is probably along going to mean the closure coincides with another issue elsewhere.
