No right turn onto the westbound A4 from the southbound Sutton Court Road...

Notice on the lamp posts say this is already the case but it looks like it is not being enacted at the moment. Maybe it will apply on certain dates and times depending on the needs of roadworks...

The notices on the lamp posts give TfL the authority to ban that right turn "at certain times" and providing they post the necessary traffic signs and diversion routes. Curiously the stated diversion route is via Hogarth Roundabout and the westbound A4.  While that adds to traffic negotiating Hogarth Roundabout, it might actually be preferable to the appallingly slow approaches on SCR and Barrowgate Road currently in the evening peaks.

That’s the easiest route Richard. What about U turns on the A4 to get in via Harvard Hill, are they legal?

The problem is that when it's busy, the westbound A4 tails back to well beyong Hogarth Roundabout, and the roundabout clogs up.  That then blocks the eastbound lanes, and before long you have total gridlock.The least bad option with a car if you want to go west on teh A4/M4 will probably be to go along the High Road to Chiswick roundabout.Most of the time I'm on my bike, so it's not too much of an issue for me.  Given the amount of building work that is going on all over London, and the amount of traffic the new buildings will generate, gridlock is going to get a lot more common.  If you don't have a bike, it makes sense to go and get one.

I’ve seen people do it at the SCR traffic lights, they can get in but not out at Harvard Hill.
